Acrobats - Joan goes hat shopping and has an argument with a lady. When it ends up she and Brad are having dinner with the lady and her husband, Joan takes up acrobatics in the restaurant in order to avoid embarrassment.
The Allergy - It's election time. Bradley is campaigning and wants to show the voters how happily married he is. Unfortunately, Joan starts sneezing whenever he comes within ten feet of her and thinks she's become allergic to him.
Big Louie's Parole - A local mobster threatens Judge Stevens over the parole of an incarcerated gang leader. Joan tries to head off the threat by getting a gangster-movie actor to pose as a torpedo from the Eastern Syndicate.
Bombay Duck - Joan has started taking night classes at secretarial school. She had assured Brad it won't interfere with her housework but when he invites a fellow judge to dinner Joan finds herself trying to prepare a duck at her desk.
Broken Toe - Brad is hospitalized for a broken toe. Joan tries to visit after hours, when they won't let her visit, she feigns an illness so she can be admitted to the hospital. She almost has gallbladder surgery by trading rooms to be next to him.
Clothes Budget - When Joan learns that the snooty Helen Cavanaugh will be attending the charity ball, she insists that Brad give her money to buy a new gown. Brad agrees to give her $412 to buy all her clothing for the next year.
Dancing Lessons - Joan takes dancing lessons but can't get Brad interested until he meets beautiful instructor Carlotta. Joan tries to make her husband jealous by getting privately taught by the suave Hernando. But it all backfires on Joan.
Jealousy - Joan claims Brad is always trusting when Mabel's husband is suspicious of the attentions his wife receives from Dr. Salazar. When Joan is told a husband in love is jealous she goes all out to provoke Brad's emotions.
Lost Check - Joan fills in as Brad's secretary with predictably disastrous results. After putting a certified check in a book Joan manages to lose it. She tries to hide the fact from her husband knowing he will be furious.
Mabel's Dress - Joan finds the dress that Judge Stevens hid for their neighbor's birthday celebration. Not realizing the expensive gown wasn't meant for her Joan makes drastic alterations which ruin it.
Musical - Joan cajoles Brad into being a part of her ladies club musical which he is reluctant to do. Among the highlights is Joan masquerading as Groucho Marx while doing a routine with her husband the judge.
Neighbors - Three nights a week, the Stevens pass sleeplessly because of their neighbors wild parties. Joan manages to convince them to move out, but the new neighbors are even worse - they have dogs that bark all night every night.
Sister Pat - Joanie invites her younger sister, Beverly, to stay at her house while she goes to college. In revenge, Judge Stevens invites four cousins to join the merry throng, much to Beverly's delight and Joan's distress.
Talent Scout - Joan is tricked by a couple of con men pretending to be talent scouts and finds herself filming a movie scene where a jungle girl costume sharing screen time with a scene-stealing chimpanzee.
